How's your day?

I can hear the colours...

Wow. Quite a day indeed.

I just finished watching The Wizard of Oz set to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon." That was trippy - real trippy. I'm on an existential trip to Wal*Mart. It synched up pretty well - the first cash register "ching" occurs exactly when Dorothy opens the door into Oz. It's amazing. But, the Dark Side of the Moon is a very spooky, artistic album, and running through it two and a half times scared me worse than did The Ring.

I went to a DDR tournament tonight. I played well, for a change. I couldn't enter the actual tournament because I didn't live in the residence hall that was hosting it, but the prize was Napolean Dynamite, so I wasn't too excited about it anyway. On the upshot, I passed Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) on Heavy, and made it halfway through Max 300 / Heavy.

Earlier today I found out a guy I met at Subway is in my economics class - and he's really cool. We had a great time chatting, and he invited me to a LAN party next month.

I've been working on the web site for our Furry Club, as well as a little php project of mine, and of course, there's always that stuff for work. Lots of web design. I also have to start on the homework for my 112 class soon - it's going to be a flash animation to present some data. Plus, I submitted a poem for creative writing today.

I've been working on DJing - I tried some actual mixing and beatmatching techniques on my radio show tonight (Reactive Sounds is the name of the show). It was fun, but I've got a long way to go before I sound coherent. I've also been meaning to get people a copy of 88 MPH (Blurred Vision Cut). Most people seemed to like the original, but I just wasn't happy with it. The newer cut still isn't where I'd like it to be, but it's much closer.

That's been most of my week, I guess. Just doin' stuff. Now, the juicy part.

The story will begin below. Post it in italics, so we can tell it apart from the rest of the post. You do not have to add to the story just because you post here - but if you're looking for more things to say in your post, or you feel you have a good idea, this is a free for all. Add anything you like, do whatever you want with it, and we'll take it from wherever you leave off.

And so it began... He fell through the starlight, the cool winds, the mountain tops, the grassy plains, the sea beds. Down and down, for all eternity collapsed into a single second of infinite terror. Whole new venues opened before him, clashed together, and died painfully as he stared. There was no consiousness - only timelessness. Who would have thought this is where he would end up?

A hard beginning. Let's see how folks run it. ^.~

Hello Everyone!

Well, here's my first post. Sorry it took me so long, I've been pretty busy with schoolwork. Nothing too interesting, I guess. Anyway, I suppose I'll go ahead and enlighten on a few points. I'll probably end up going into more detail for my own blog, The Azure Wings of Time.

I played about an hour and a half of racquetball last night, so now I'm sore...

We had to build a tower out of a single sheet of paper today for Aerospace Practicum. That was cool. My team had the tallest and there is only one more team to build there's tomorrow (they are in a different class period. If they can't beat 54.75" then we win and we get 10 extra credit points on our midterm exam. 54.75" is huge, by the way. I came up with the design, which is cool. In fact, my design was so awesome, we only used about one inch of the allotted twelve inches of tape. Go me!

Tonight there was a chili cook-out. Decent chili, really good cornbread. Music. The works. Pretty fun, but all my friends had class at that time.

I have rehearsal tonight. I have the first scene of Act 1 memorized and almost all of the fourth scene. For those who don't know, I am playing Duke Orsino in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. He is the male lead of this play (though he actually doesn't have a ton of lines like the Shakespeare's leads usually do). The true lead of the play is Viola, surprisingly. Shakespeare almost never game a woman the lead role.

Anyway, I've gotta go get some stuff done before I head off to my College Players meeting and rehearsal. Catch ya later.

Andy: How are we going to do this whole story thing? And I might end up sticking primarily with the story because I'll be doing my daily life thing on my own blog. I'll look for interesting stuff too, but not today.

We went to Wolf Park this weekend with some of my friends - they're pretty much all furries from around the area. All cool people.

We saw some awesome wolves! They were out and very playful, since the unnaturally freezing cold is their normal climate.

We also got driven out to the Buffalo Range - they were warm, we were not. Driving at 20 MPH in an open truck bed when it is 0 farenheit and windy is VERY COLD.

We also got to visit the arctic foxes - they are uber cute! This one is called Basil, and is the only white one at Wolf Park.

But, it was a heckuva lot of fun. We all had a good time - this was followed by heading to IHOP and then several hours of hanging out at Snakes' place. I also made a character for a Warcraft d20 game this weekend. Also just got a new memory card for my digital camera. It's good stuff. ^.^ Hope you're all doing well!
